Our pastoral area had a wonderful Holy Year celebration of Hope in The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, Newmarket-on-Fergus on Thursday evening last. Our celebration included prayer, reflection, sacred music, symbol and scripture. The surrender of our fears and worried represented by placing stones before the altar and the acceptance of faith, hope and charity represented by the reception of a daffodil bulb was the core of our evening. Olive Foley from Killaloe, in a beautiful gentle way, shared her experience of hope in her own life through prayer. Our choir, drawn from all three parishes, greatly enhanced our celebration. Our thanks are due to everyone who contributed to our celebration. May hope always be at the heart of our lives. Hope does not disappoint.
