We wish Fr. Tom every blessing in his new parish of Doora/Barefield. Fr Tom has made the parish of Newmarket, Wells and Carrigerry his home and family since 2006. The parishioners and his pastoral work in the parish always came first and he was a great leader in our community. His door was always open. His enthusiasm and vibrancy was evident in everything Fr. Tom did for us.  He brought the parish into a new pastoral era and his great achievements can be seen in every corner of the parish but the most important are… the babies he christened, the couples he married, the sick he anointed and our loved ones he buried. Fr. Tom’s contribution to our schools and his enthusiastic presence as he helped the children prepare for the Sacraments was remarkable and every child loved to see him visit their school.  His warm, welcoming, witty and engaging personality was loved by all who came to know him. Family and prayer remained the most important things in life as he made significant contributions to communities across the parish. “Fr Tom you will be greatly missed”.
