Lá fheile Bríde

On 1st February, we celebrate our great patroness, St. Brigid, sometimes called Muire na nGael. Irish monks spread devotion to St Brigid all over the world and there are many stories of Brigid, with the ‘Cross of Brigid’ best known. She fashioned a cross made from river reeds and used it to explain Christ’s passion and death to a pagan chieftain.
